Ingredients
  • lean ground beef600 g
  • cornstarch1 tsp
  • tomato paste1 tbsp
  • olive oil1 tbsp
  • garlic powder2 tsp
  • onion powder1.5 tsp
  • smoked paprika1.5 tsp
  • Italian seasoning2 tsp
  • saltto taste
  • black pepperto taste
  • chili flakes1 tsp
  • red lentils (dry)150 g
  • penne (dry)320 g
  • yellow onion1 medium (150 g)
  • garlic5-6 cloves (25 g)
  • tomato sauce400 ml
  • beef broth200 ml
  • skyr (0-0.2% fat)150 g
  • low-fat milk100 ml
Method
Cook the pasta and red lentils separately until tender; drain. Brown the ground beef with the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and chili flakes. Build the tomato sauce: saute the onion and garlic, then add tomato paste, tomato sauce and beef broth. Stir in the cooked beef and lentils. Off the heat, stir in the skyr and milk until creamy. Toss with the pasta and serve with parmesan and basil.
